Founder
and
owner
of Piano Gallery, Bob Rosenthal brings over 30 years
of sales experience in the piano industry. Playing the piano since age 4 and performing professionally since age 13,
Bob later earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of California, Long Beach.
Bob started
his
career
in music working for Organ Exchange, a large retailer
of
pianos
and
organs
in California. Within a very short time, Bob
became
one of the top salespersons for
the company
and
was soon
a managing partner. With this company, Bob
had the
opportunity to perform as a concert artist for
the
promotion
of Lowrey
Organs. After leaving Organ Exchange, Bob joined Accent
Music in Arcadia, California.
There,
Bob increased sales ten fold to help
them
become a million dollar a year company.
Bob was
presented
with
a career opportunity in 1980: pioneering a new piano
manufacturing line in the United States
called
Young
Chang. Bob was hired as the first sales representative
for this
new company. By the time Bob left
to start his own company in 1988, Young Chang had grown from
obscurity to one of the most respected
and
sought
after
piano lines in the industry.
In 1988,
Bob founded
Keyboard City in Dallas, and, within two years of
its conception, it became one of the nation's
largest
retailers of digital pianos and synthesizers. In 1990,
Bob opened a discount store called Keyboard
Outlet.
In 1998, this store, along with its concept, transformed
into Piano Outlet. In 2004, Bob opened Piano
Gallery
of Southlake, and Piano Gallery of Dallas opened in
2006.
Bob's
personal
achievements include 'Salesman of the Year' awards
for
Organ
Exchange,
Accent Music, and Young Chang Pianos, as well as 'Number
One in Sales' for Suzuki Corp. from
2000
thru
2003 and top achievement awards from Geneva Int'l. Bob
has been
happily married to his lovely bride, Ann,
for 22
years. They have 3 beautiful daughters by the names
of Tara,
Jordan and Taylor. And of course his life,
nor the
stores, would be complete without mention
of his
beautiful golden retr iever, Chelsy!
