Piano Gallery has been proudly serving the musical needs of the metroplex since
1988. Originally
opened as Keyboard City by founder Bob Rosenthal and managing partner
Gary Rich, this two man operation quickly
became one the nation's largest
retailers of digital pianos and synthesizers. In 1990, Gary Rich
opened Rich Music in Denton.
At the same time, Bob opened a new discount store in Dallas called Keyboard Outlet.
Keyboard Outlet
built a reputation
for its great
deals and was
subsequently
picked by the
Underground Shopper Magazine
as the "Best Place to Buy" a keyboard or digital piano in the United States. In 1998, Keyboard Outlet started
selling acoustic
pianos. Its
goal was to
offer the best
value in the market place, and Piano Outlet's 3-Day
Clearance Center
was born. This concept allowed
the store to
bring in the best buys each
week for the
consumer to
purchase every Thursday through Saturday. The store's success was due
largely
in part to
the reuniting
of Gary Rich
and Bob Rosenthal. With their combined experience,
the 3-Day Clearance
Center became
a six-day-a-week
discount operation
by the year 2000, and the
trade name
became Piano Outlet.
In 2004, Piano
Outlet embarked on an opportunity
to serve the community
with European handcrafted
pianos by opening its first Piano Gallery store in
Southlake. In October
of 2006, Piano
Gallery of Dallas opened its doors with what some have
called the premier
showcase of pianos
in the United States.
